Previously home to The Bon Marché and currently home to Macy’s, 300 Pine St. is a historical epicenter of retail in Seattle. Amazon has recently announced that they will keep this tradition going by leasing 6 floors of office space above the downtown Seattle Macy’s store.
Combined with the announcement earlier this month that Amazon plans to take all the 722,000 square feet of office space in the Rainier Square redevelopment project, Amazon has committed to approximately 1.2 million square feet of new office space in Seattle recently.
This is good news for Seattle residents as Amazon is a big supporter of the local community, employing over 50,000 people in Seattle. The recent office expansions are set to create over 6000 new jobs for Seattle.
In addition to the new jobs that will be directly created by the expansions, housing the new Amazon offices in Seattle will help stimulate the local business community. Crystal Soda Blast is proud to say that we were chosen to sandblast the entire 6 floors to prepare for Amazon’s arrival in late summer of 2018.
