At Crystal Soda Blast, we continually monitor the performance of the construction industry and look for trends that help us better understand the overall picture. The infographic below shows you some of the trends that we’ve noticed in the past few months.

Construction spending decreased in the last 12 months with private construction down 1.7% while public construction went down 7%.
Specific cuts in spending include religious establishments, which dropped 20.1%, as well as lodging and hotel construction spending, which fell 27.8%.
There were increases in certain types of construction, though. Commercial construction spending rose 5.2% and power construction led the pack with an increase of 15.4%.
